Miss Diane Verleye teaches Fourth Grade at St. Jude, a position she has held for 30 years. Diane grew up in South Bend and attended Ball State University. She always knew growing up that she wanted to be a teacher. Diane was inspired by her third grade teacher who made learning fun. Her family always encouraged and supported her dream. In her free time, Diane enjoys bowling and playing softball. She also likes spending time outdoors and playing with her nieces and nephews. Miss Verleye teaches her students about leadership and taking responsibilityfor their learning. She likes to do hands-on projects with her students. Miss Verleye believes that students have a lot of good things to say if they are given the chance to express their ideas.
