In April I will have been working as the Business Manager for 25 years! I have decided to retire so that my husband (who retired in June) and I can begin to check things off our "Bucket List" which mostly entails traveling. As I keep reassuring Fr. John, I may be retiring but I will still be around to assist with the transition. This is after all, my parish. We are just beginning to search for my replacement.
Below is a brief description of what we are looking for:
St. Jude/Sacred Heart parishes are looking to fill a shared Business Manager position. A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or another related field is preferred. The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks well, possess a high level of confidentiality and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Business Manager is responsible for maintaining all Parish financial accounts including tuition records and church contributions. They work with the Parish Finance Committee to prepare and maintain all budgets. The Business Manager position also oversees the human resource function, completes all reports for the State of Indiana and the Diocese, and works closely with both the pastor and principal on business and administrative matters that affect the parishes and school with day to day operations and long-term projects. They are also expected to supervise custodial staff and all construction, repair and improvement projects.
