Our Patron Saint

St. Jude is sometimes called Thaddeus, which means “the brave one.” St. Jude is often called the saint of “desperate or impossible cases.”

People pray to him when things seem hopeless. Often God answers their prayers through the intercession of this beloved apostle. St. Jude is often shown in paintings with a flame around his head. This represents his presence at Pentecost, when he received the Holy Spirit with the other apostles.

Our Church

Located at 19704 Johnson Road South Bend, IN 46614, St Jude Parish has been serving South Bend’s south side since 1948. Through the years there have been many renovations and expansions to the St. Jude campus. Currently, the campus houses the church, rectory, and St. Jude Catholic School.
