Friday, June 7 - Sunday, June 9
Abby of Gethsemani & Bourbon Trail, Kentucky

The Abbey of Gethsemani, the Trappist monastery where Thomas Merton was a monk, is nestled in the heart of the Bourbon Trail, the historical epicenter of bourbon production. Come renew your spirit on this young adult pilgrimage which will explore the intersection of faith and culture, sacred and profane, spiritual and physical refreshment.

Both Churches Easter Decorations:  as always, Easter decorations in both churches are done so well, so beautifully; so professionally!  Many thanks to the two parish’s volunteers who help keep the church sanctuary and entries seasonally beautiful and inviting!  I know that oftentimes the helpers are few and it is just the principal chairperson and one or two others who do all the work, so a very special thanks to those people.

How blessed we are here at St. Jude to have a stained glass window with the image of the Divine Mercy. It seems only fitting that we make a special effort to celebrate this Divine Mercy Sunday.

At 3:00 p.m. this Sunday, we will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, have a short talk on the Divine Mercy and finish with Eucharistic Benediction. Invite your friends and family, especially those who may have fallen away from the Church.

We invite all parishioners to a reception Sunday, April 28 after the 10:00 a.m. Mass in honor of those who have been accepted into full Communion with the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. These participants have worked hard over the past several months and the Vigil is not the end, but the beginning, of their journey with the Catholic Church.
