St. Jude Home and School is still offering the complete orthodontic plan of treatment from Dr. Sean Long. We have had several interested parties but no takers. This is a complete treatment plan valued at $5000 including all phases: evaluation, braces, retainers, and follow-up. At the fall auction a reserve amount of$2500 was set as the minimum bid that could be accepted for this item to sell and return meaningful profit to HASA.
Don’t forget to save your postage stamps from all the Christmas cards you are receiving this year. St. Jude Rosary Sodality is still collecting cancelled stamps from your mail or cards received. When you get your Christmas cards this year, please save the envelope or tear off the stamp leaving an inch on all sides and put these in the container in the church lobby.
With a contribution to the Scholarship Granting Organization of Northeast Indiana (SGONEI) the donor (individual or business) becomes eligible for a 50% credit (i.e.-REFUND!) against their State of Indiana tax liability. The SGO scholarship allows St. Jude School to give scholarships to qualifying students. Our goal this year is to raise almost $50,000 in support of 28 students.
One week before Christmas, in special preparation for the feast, many Catholics begin praying the O Antiphons. They are so called because each one begins with an “O” invoking the coming of Christ by appropriate titles derived from the Old Testament prophecies.
Monday evening I hosted the Inaugural Legacy Society Dinner in my home. Twenty-three people were inducted as Founders of the Society. These are people who have named St. Jude as a beneficiary in their will/estate.
