Field Trips:
Greetings First Grade Parents and Friends!!
Our next project will be coming home soon. It is a simple project about US Symbols. Let me know if the directions are unclear. Keep in mind this is a first grade report and so it should be simple. Your guidance will be needed on this.
A list of prayers have been sent home. Please help your child learn these if they don't already. They will be tested and recorded on the report card throughout the year. Thanks for your help!
March reading logs are due Tuesday, March 31st or Wednesday, April 1st. Remember reading logs must be turned in each month to receive the prize at the end of the year.
Our math program Everyday Math sometimes asks students to bring in change (pennies, nickels, etc.) on the bottom of some of the homework. Please do not send in any money. We will use the plastic money in the classroom.
On Thursday, your child will be bringing home a plastic pink homework folder. Please review the graded pages and let me know if you have any questions about them. Return the folder the next day.
Please make sure your child's name is on the homework each night.
Please remember to send a healthy snack daily. Some good choices are fruits and vegetables, cheese and crackers, graham crackers, etc. Please do not send candy or chips. We work really hard all morning and need "brain food." It really is a long morning when we don't eat until noon.
That's all for now. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me with any questions or concerns.
Have a great week!
Please note that I am adding assignments for new days above each other for easier navigation. I plan to leave all assignments up unless I can no longer do so.
