Catholic Youth Summer Camp 2019
“Dear Mr. and Mrs. Torma, Thank you so much for letting me go to camp. I had fun beyond belief. My favorite part was fishing and canoeing. From TJ”
“Learning Scripture everyday through skits and prayer made me feel closer to God and doing this with friends was great. I also got to fish and boat, and I left camp with a stronger faith and friends from all over.” Aubrei
Imagine this… a camp setting on a beautiful lake where young boys and girls from the Diocese of Fort Wayne/South Bend, guided by enthusiastic, interested, and kind adults, enjoy nature, engage in fun and meaningful outdoor activities such as archery, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, the famous obstacle course, and crafts. They participate in daily Mass, experience Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, have the opportunity to experience our Lord’s love in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and learn to pray the Rosary more deeply.
This is the overnight camping adventure that awaits the children in our diocese if they are going into the 4th, 5th and 6th grade in the fall of 2019. The dates are June 23rd – 28th. The location is Camp Lutherwald in Howe, IN, between South Bend and Fort Wayne. The cost is $450 per camper; sibling cost is $430.
To have a camp where you can pray, have a lot of fun, but also deepen your faith is a beautiful thing. — Bishop Kevin Rhoades
