Thank you for helping to make CYSC 2017 a success. This was our 7th year! The theme was Soul Praise and 59 children attended from 18 parishes in our diocese. Several children from the evangelical tradition joined us.
We are so grateful for the time, treasure, and talent offered by our parish family! Your prayers were deeply appreciated. Your Dollar Sunday contribution for CYSC was generous. In addition, camperships were given by parishioners and we received assistance towards the Ashika drums. Mary Krisch, the business manager at St. Jude kept us financially organized and sound. Elva Gable carefully compiled supplies for our daily Mass from St. Jude’s Sacristy. Cathy Kubiak designed, drew and painted our campsite flags. Mary Ann Sobieralski, our beloved “Grandma S”, shared her many talents at camp, especially in crafts. Theresa Kubiak, once a camper, served as a junior counselor. And Jean Shaw joined us as one of our nurses for the week. Fr. Julius shared his priestly ministry with us in the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday afternoon. Finally, we want to give a special thanks to Fr. John who was supportive of the idea of Catholic Youth Summer Camp and very much a part of its birthing. Over the years, he has traveled to CYSC at our many locations to celebrate Mass and hear confessions.
Know that we are grateful to all of you from the bottom of our hearts!
Sincerely, Dave and Jan Torma
